SNAPS FROM CPH

Jag flög hem i igår och spenderade dagen i Köpenhamn med mina två bästisar som blivit köpenhamnare. Vi hade en så himla mysig dag och strosade runt i min forna arbetsstad. Köpenhamn är verkligen för charmigt: alla små kvarter, hus och den bohemiska luften.

I flew home yesterday however I spent the day in Copenhagen with my two besties who has become real “copenhagers”. We had such a nice day strolling around the city and I was just enjoying my old work city. Copenhagen is just that charming with all the small houses, courtyards and that bohemian air.

Here are some snaps form my 24 hours over there!

I stroke some poses outside this gourgeus flower shop. They litterally had a parrot jumping around a cage the size of a car.

MEGAN PERKINS

Megan Perkins upptäckte jag på Joya mässan. Hon är en australiensisk designer gör samtida smycken i aluminium, trä, corian och koppar.

I discovered Megan Perkins at the Joya fair. She is an Australian designer making contemporary jewellery made of aluminum, wood, corian and copper.

Keep your eyes on her!

Simple, chic and elegant. This is so what I need to fancy up my everyday outfits.

Those perfect pieces to spice up a classic jeans and t-shirt or a dressed up tunic outfit.

MALA SIAMPTANI

Denna vecka är det smyckesvecka i Barcelona. Det började förra fredagen ​​och jag blev inbjuden. Under både lördag och söndag spenderade jag på mässan. Jag hittade för många underbara smycken och så många intressanta designers.

En av mina favoriter Mala Siamptani som är en Cypriskt född designer som ställde ut på mässan. Hon hade en så himla intressant stil och en teknik för att skapa sina smycken. Hon undersökte mikrobiologi och blev inspirerad av förhållandet mellan den naturliga världen och bilaterial symmetri.

Ringarna på bilderna nedanför visar hur formen svarar på infektionen. Anledningen till att de får den magnifika bruna rost färgen är för hon lämnar de ute i regnet under två veckor i London. Hur magiska är de inte? Dör smyckes döden!

So this week is jewellery week in Barcelona. It started off this friday and I was invited. During both saturday and sunday I spend some time at the fair. I found too many gorgeous pieces and so many interesting designers.

One of my favourites were Mala Siamptani a Cypriskt born designer who exhibited at the fair. She had such an interesting style and a technique to create her jewelry. She research microbiology and was inspired by the relationship between natural world and bilateral symmetry.

The rings in the pictures below show how the shape responds to infection and how they “break down”. The reason they get the magnificent brown rust color is she leaving the outside in the rain for two weeks in London. How magical are they? Suffering from the jewellery death!

Her pieces are so unique and beyond art pieces. Super inspired by the color and materials.
